Interp: The Aff must specify the normative ethical theory they use to weigh their offense in the PMC - NET is: A normative ethical theory refers to a specific philosophical framework that guides action, for example util, deontology, contractarianism, Levinasian ethics, etc.
Violation: They don’t (even if they have a framework, if they don’t articulate what specific action guiding ethical theory they endorse, they still violate)- Impact framing does not meet: The PMC having impact framing is not enough, they merely articulate which impacts we should prioritize but not the normative reasons for which we should avoid those impacts. They isolate [x] as an important impact, that would be framed radically different under util then it would under deon. #### Standards:- Ground- MG Shift: MG Articulating what specific normative ethical theory you use is key for stable ground because its key to know what impacts are the most important and how they are weighed under the 1AC. Absent this the PMC could shift the way in which they weigh their offense and moot the entirety of LOC offense.- Education: Stable ground is key to fairness and education because it is key to avoid severance, without a clear definition of the ground that each side is defending then it allows for them to shift out of what they originally going for and change their advocacy completely.- Fairness: This is the internal link to fairness because severance always forces the LOC/MG to completely restart their offensive strategy which will always give a structural advantage to their opponents. It is also the IL to education because severance means that we don’t go in depth on key topic education, but rather are spread out amongst a variety of others.#### Voters: Fairness
Fairness Skews Eval: in parli extensions of conceded arguments make them true which means that a lack of fairness skews your evaluation because it implicates your ability to determine the truth of arguments - O/w: Fairness o/w because if the debate is unfair then one team is already inherently excluded from the round because their accesses is always-already skewed. This is an impact filter because nothing in round is important if people are already excluded.Education- Education o/w because that is the only portable skills that we get outside of debate, bad education means that we come out of debate with bad portable skills and become people like Mike Pence. Must know the rules of the game before you play the game.- CI > Reasonability because reasonability is infinitely regressive and justifies judge intervention which moots the entirety of the round because it forces the judge to inject their own subjective opinion.
