What it is
the golden turn is an open archive for college parliamentary debate, written and maintained by debaters. it consolidates written curriculum, a searchable recordings index, case files and playbooks, and a reference for common kritiks. everything is open source and open to contribution.
How it's organized
Curriculum is a written introduction to parliamentary debate, from basic theory through advanced strategy. Articles cover framing and burdens, affirmative and negative construction, theory, and the Ks.
Recordings is a searchable index of NPDA rounds. Search by team, resolution, or tag. Filter by year, tournament, and aff type. Click any round to expand it and play the audio or video inline.
Ks is a reference for common kritiks run in parliamentary debate, including the Cap K, Security K, and framework theory.
Files contains individual cases, briefs, blocks, and scaffolds. Playbooks are curated collections of files, with bulk download.
Lectures will be recorded talks and workshops. Coming soon.
How to contribute
the site is open source on GitHub. written content (curriculum articles, K pages, files) is accepted as pull requests against the main branch. to submit a recording, use the recording submission form, which opens a GitHub issue for review.
