Net Benefit:- Ontological Affirmation: Celebrating our differences from colonial forces allow us to understand ourselves without relating to western subjectivity. The act of recognizing and embracing differences creates ontological affirmation for marginalized individuals. This is the most proximal impact that should be prioritized because this happens within the debate space. - Aff makes affirmation impossible: The 1AC forwards an ontological narrative in which speaking in English is the necessary prerequisite to engaging in [whatever the aff does]. Ontological narratives carry ideologies that filter engagement within larger structures through micropolitics, this means that the 1AC creates a structural condition in which non English speakers are obliterated from the possibility of affirming. - Overkill: This specific ontological narrative forwards the logic of overkill. Overkill speaks to a specific form of violence in which the eradication of specific populations is premised as necessary for the continuation of the status quo.
